Where we trade
The broker behind the results
Spread and commission decide how much of a signal you actually keep.
Gold trading fees decide how much of a good signal you actually keep. Spread and commission come out of every trade, and on XAUUSD they are not small.
Why gold trading fees decide half your result
Two traders can take the exact same signal and finish the month in different places. The difference is spread and commission. On gold, a wide spread eats the first few pips of every single trade, and a marked up commission takes another bite on the way in and on the way out. None of that shows up in a signal, it just quietly removes your edge.
We measure this ourselves. Our own commission dropped from $10.53 to $3.00 per lot when we moved our account across, on the same trades and the same size. That is a 72 percent cut in cost, and nothing about the strategy changed.

Raw ECN pricing on gold
Tight spreads, fast fills, and the commission you actually see. This is the same account our own live results on the Results page are traded on, not a name we picked from a list. The link below takes you straight to the right place.

Before you move anything
Do not move an account just because a link says so, and never deposit more than you can lose. Check that the broker accepts clients from your country, read the costs, and start small. A tighter spread helps a good plan, it does not rescue a bad one.
How we are paid
The account has to be opened through the link above to get this pricing. Open one any other way and you are on their standard retail spread and commission instead. The broker pays us a rebate on the trades you make, which costs you nothing. We are telling you this plainly because you should know when a link earns someone money, and because the same honesty runs through our results page, where every closed trade is posted in pips, wins and losses both.
What gold trading fees cost over a year
On gold a 1.00 lot is 100 ounces, so every 0.01 of spread is one dollar per lot. Two trades a day, 250 days a year, on a 0.30 spread with seven dollars of commission comes to roughly eighteen and a half thousand dollars a year. The same year on raw pricing is closer to seven and a half thousand. Nothing about the trading changed. Only the gold trading fees did.
Our own commission went from $10.53 to $3.00 per lot on the same trades at the same size. Work out your own year on the cost calculator.
What to ask before you open an account
Ask for the raw spread on gold, not on EURUSD, because brokers quote the pair that flatters them. Ask whether commission is charged per side or round turn. Ask what the spread does during news, since a tight spread that goes to sixty points at half past eight is not a tight spread. And ask whether they mark up the raw feed, because a raw account with a marked up commission is not a raw account.
